The Verizon Corporate Campus on Hidden Ridge in Irving, Texas, is a substantial and modern facility spanning approximately 1.15 million square feet. This campus serves as a central hub for Verizon’s operations, featuring multiple office buildings designed for collaboration, innovation, and employee well-being. The facility is supported by a central plant with a cooling capacity of approximately 6,000 tons, which efficiently manages the heating, cooling, and ventilation needs of the entire campus. Timberlake & Dickson Scope:
Timberlake & Dickson played a critical role in the initial construction phase of the facility by furnishing and installing large, field-erected cooling towers that are conveniently hidden below grade on the campus, hiding them out of sight. Additionally, Timberlake & Dickson has been instrumental in the ongoing maintenance and rebuilding of the cooling towers to extend their operational lifespan. This maintenance scope has included the systematic replacement of critical components such as fans, motors, and PVC fill media. These activities are designed to restore and enhance the cooling towers’ efficiency, ensuring they continue to meet the facility’s cooling demands.
