Facility Description:
Texarkana Aluminum, located in Texarkana, Texas, is a large-scale aluminum production facility specializing in the manufacturing of rolled aluminum products. The campus spans approximately 1,200 acres and includes a variety of industrial buildings, including a rolling mill, casting facilities, warehouses, and support structures. The facility is equipped with advanced production systems designed for high-efficiency manufacturing, capable of producing a wide range of aluminum products used in various industries such as automotive, aerospace, and packaging. The central plant at Texarkana Aluminum has a cooling capacity of approximately 5,000 tons, providing the necessary climate control for both the production processes and the facility’s overall operations.
Timberlake & Dickson Scope:
Timberlake & Dickson was contracted to perform a turnkey replacement of the existing cooling towers, which included furnishing Evapco fluid coolers and other associated appurtenances for the facility’s cooling systems. The scope of work entailed assessing the existing towers, selecting and procuring new, energy-efficient units, and ensuring careful removal of the old towers. It also involved installing the new cooling towers on existing supports, connecting them to the existing system, and ensuring proper function. Lastly, the project included training facility staff on operation and maintenance, providing all necessary documentation, and ensuring a smooth handover, all aimed at enhancing the facility’s HVAC efficiency and reliability.
