A representative example of the facilities where Timberlake & Dickson has been engaged is the Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World in Grapevine, Texas. This facility is a massive retail destination that offers a wide range of outdoor gear, apparel, and equipment. Completed in 2005, the store spans approximately 200,000 square feet, making it one of the largest Bass Pro Shops locations in the United States. The facility is more than just a retail store; it includes a variety of attractions such as a large, 30,000-gallon indoor aquarium stocked with native Texas fish species, providing an educational and interactive experience for visitors, as well as a bowling alley and a shooting range, all designed to create an immersive outdoor experience for visitors. The design and layout of the Grapevine location reflect Bass Pro Shops’ commitment to celebrating the great outdoors while providing a family-friendly atmosphere.
Timberlake & Dickson Scope:
Timberlake & Dickson has been instrumental in the ongoing maintenance, refurbishment, and replacement of many elements of these facilities, as a means of extending their operational lifespan. This scope has included component inspections, various system repairs, and the systematic replacement of critical components and pumps serving aquatic displays, pools, aquariums, irrigation systems, and makeup water systems. Further, the scopes of work have included furnishing and installing temporary pumping systems to accommodate the ongoing demands of the facility during outages, maintenance, and repairs. Lastly, Timberlake & Dickson has furnished Yaskawa Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) to enhance the operational efficiency of motors on a wide variety of equipment across the facilities.
