Timberlake & Dickson is a dynamic and innovative Manufacturer’s Representative/Distributorship within the industrial and commercial HVAC industry, committed to delivering cutting-edge solutions to our clients. We specialize in representing a collection of first-class manufacturers of HVAC equipment, serving commercial and light industrial markets. As part of our expansion efforts, we are seeking a talented Inside Sales Representative to join our sales team.

The Inside Sales Representative will play a pivotal role in driving team success by generating proposals, providing after-sale support, providing customer service, and collaborating routinely with outside personnel. This position requires a unique blend of technical expertise, project management acumen, and customer relationship management skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate Sales Opportunities: Analyze written scopes of work to identify opportunities to apply our products and solutions.  Navigate equipment selections and pricing to align with the scope of work.
  • Develop tailored solutions: Work closely with outside sales team and their customers to understand their specific challenges and requirements. Develop customized solutions that address their needs and align with T&D product offerings.
  • Manage inside sales processes from initial contact to project closure. Effectively manage project activities including quote work-up, submittals, purchase orders, shipping logistics, close-out documents, and warranty claims.
  • Build and maintain client relationships: Cultivate strong relationships with clients to foster loyalty and repeat business. Serve as a trusted advisor by providing ongoing support, addressing concerns, and offering solutions to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Achieve goals: Timely deliver on all assigned tasks, applying proper prioritization and asking proper questions as needed along the way, routinely providing accurate work, and regularly meeting or exceeding expectations.


Desired Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related field, or 2 years HVAC industry experience.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and articulate complex technical concepts. Problem solver.
  • Strong computer skills with experience using spreadsheets and/or sales estimating software or related tools.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a results-driven mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills.
  • Desire for continued growth and development.
