Timberlake & Dickson is a dynamic and innovative Manufacturer’s Representative/Distributorship within the industrial and commercial HVAC industry, committed to delivering cutting-edge solutions to our clients. We specialize in representing a collection of first-class manufacturers of HVAC equipment, serving commercial and light industrial markets. As part of our expansion efforts, we are seeking a talented Outside Sales Representative to join our sales team.

The Outside Sales Representative will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and promoting our products. This position requires a unique blend of technical expertise, sales acumen, and customer relationship management skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify Sales Opportunities: Develop and foster relationships with existing and prospective customers. Proactively identify potential clients through research and networking.
  • Develop Tailored Solutions: Work closely with clients to understand their specific challenges and requirements. Develop customized solutions that address their needs and align with T&D product offerings.
  • Lead Negotiations and Close Deals: Manage the sales process from initial contact to contract negotiation and closure. Effectively communicate pricing, terms, and conditions.
  • Build and Maintain Client Relationships: Cultivate strong relationships with clients to foster loyalty and repeat business. Serve as a trusted advisor by providing ongoing support, addressing concerns, and offering solutions to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Stay Informed About Industry Trends: Keep abreast of industry developments, competitor activities, and market trends. Use this knowledge to adapt sales strategies and identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Achieve Sales Targets: Set ambitious sales targets and develop strategies to meet or exceed them.

Desired Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, or +5 years of experience in account management and/or sales. HVAC industry experience is a plus.
  • Proven track record of success in sales, preferably in a technical or engineering-oriented industry.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and articulate complex technical concepts. Problem solver.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey information to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a results-driven mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
