Choctaw Casino & Resort in Durant, Oklahoma, is a large, multifaceted entertainment and hospitality complex that spans over 700,000 square feet. The resort features three hotel towers: the Grand Tower, built in 2006 with 204 rooms; the Spa Tower, completed in 2010 with 330 rooms; and the Sky Tower, the tallest of the three, opened in 2021 with 1,000 rooms. Timberlake & Dickson provided chilled water fan coil units for each of the 1,000 guest rooms in the Sky Tower, which is by far the largest and tallest of the three guest towers on site. These units, manufactured by AE-Air in Mesquite, Texas, ensure the guests enjoy their stay in luxurious comfort.
Notable facts:
The Sky Tower is the tallest building in Southeastern Oklahoma, standing 21 stories high. It added 1,000 guest rooms to the resort, making Choctaw Durant one of the largest hotels in the state. The resort is owned and operated by the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, one of the largest Native American tribes in the United States. The success of the resort has significantly contributed to the economic development and welfare programs for the Choctaw Nation.
